Amid the recent finished world geological park reevaluation in Zhangjiajie, we learned that Zhangjiajie’s accumulated investment in geological heritage protection had already hit 759 million Yuan since 2008.
In the last five years, the world geological park committee in Zhangjiajie closely abided by Scenic Area Regulations, World Natural Heritage Protection Regulations, Wulingyuan Scenic Spot overall planning and other laws as well as regulations, and also raised funds in many ways to strictly preserve the rare geological heritage.
Up to now, this protection project has made great progress. After experts’ monitering, Zhangjiajie scenic spot successfully passed the authentication of ISO9000, ISO14000, OHSAS18000 International Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety System, relying on its undoubted refreshing air, excellent water quality, lush forest, intact species and well developing ecological environment.
