South Korea and Singapore Promote Love and Equality via Music in Hunan

A Buddhist music fireworks show, themed "Sanskrit Performed in Zhaoshan, Buddha Blessing China", was held in Zhaoshan, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, on the evening of November 25. Renowned monks from China, South Korea, and Singapore performed to convey the spirit of equality, compassion, love, kindness, and following the fate implied by "go out of secularity" and "go into secularity".

The show was composed of three chapters. It began with the recitation of "Origin" created by Great Monk Shenghui, Vice President Buddhist Association of China.

Chinese monks played different styles of Buddhist music in a conventional Buddhist way; South Korean monks played an exotic drum dance; and Ven Sik Kwang Sheng, President of the Singapore Buddhist Federation, sang "Smiling Heart", amongst rounds of applause.

Interludes such as "Buddha", "Blessing", and "The Thousand-hand Bodhisattva" made the show more resplendent.
