Sister City relationship between Changsha and Phnom Penh

Changsha Mayor Zhang Jianfei met with Mr. Kep Chuktema, mayor of Phnom Penh, Cambodia who led a delegation to Changsha for a friendly visit. The two sides signed a letter of intent to enter into a formal Sister City relationship.

The two sides intended to carry out friendly cooperation and communications on the basis of mutual benefit, to formally sign the agreement on establishing sister city relations when the time is ripe, to develop various communications and collaborations in fields of economy, trade, education, culture, agriculture, travel, health and personnel, to arrange mutual visits between governments and enterprises, and to offer warm reception to visitors.

Mayor Zhang extended sincere welcome to the five delegates and briefed them on the social and economic development of Changsha City. He said that, as two developing cities in developing countries, the two sides should carry out a variety of exchanges and cooperation to realize win-win results.

Mr. Kep Chuktema expressed his gratitude for the hospitality they received in Changsha and said that officials and relevant departments from the two cities should hold regular exchanges to facilitate the coordination and discussion on issues of common concern.
