Fourteen students from Changsha University of Science and Technology are pedaling their way to Zhangjiajie.
A low-carbon campaign themed with "Subsidize low carbon travelling; Bring your micro-blog to see the sea of forest in Zhangjaijie" concluded successfully at Wulingyuan Scenic Area of Zhangjiejie on September 20.
The campaign, launched on June 28, attracted over one thousand low carbon travelling-lovers from provinces and municipalities including Hunan, Hubei and Chongqing. The youngest participant is only ten years old and the eldest 67. The low carbon journey totaled approximately 300 thousand kilometers.
This event has promoted not only Zhangjiajie's travel brand, but also the concept of travelling with low carbon and environment protection. It is learned that free-ticket and grants were provided by the scenic area to participants, first of its kind nationwide.
