A lecture on strengthening cultural development and cultural heritage protection in cities and developing globally competitive travel was delivered by President of the Palace Museum Shan Jixiang, in Zhangjiajie, on August 10. About 800 cadres of the city attended the lecture.
With his strategic insight from the aspects of philosophy and history, President Shan examined the challenges and opportunities that the urbanization has brought to cities, analyzed the development trend in urban cultural development and cultural heritage protection, and proposed suggestions on Zhangjiajie’s cultural development based on its characteristics.
After the lecture, Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee Hu Bojun said that Zhangjiajie will take this lecture as an opportunity to protect the abundant cultural resources and make long-term and innovative plans, so as to promote the integration of culture and travel, upgrade its cultural strength and develop Zhangjiajie into an influential cultural city with driving forces and local characteristics.
