The Symposium for Building Key Hunan Overseas Enterprises with Annual Business Performance of 100 Billion Yuan was held on January 6. According to the symposium, in the next five years, Hunan expects to promote its high-quality productivity like rail transportation, engineering machinery, mining industry, water conservancy and hydropower, construction industry and steel to go global. The province's 27 key "going global" enterprises, banks and credit and insurance corporations attended the meeting.
At present, Hunan has accumulatively examined and approved 953 overseas enterprises, with the contract amount from China at 8.536 billion US Dollars and the actual amount reaching 5.837 billion US Dollars. The investment scale of Hunan took the lead in China and topped six provinces of central China for long, and Hunan enterprises' investment covers 80 countries and regions of six continents of the world. Hunan's 74 enterprises have obtained the operation qualification for overseas project contracting, with influential brands covering water and electricity, road and bridge, and house construction. In terms of foreign labor cooperation, Hunan has annually assigned about 10 thousand contract workers, and over 30 thousand Hunan workers are working overseas all year round.
