The 2012 China (Hunan) Oil Camellia Tourism Culture Festival is scheduled to kick off in southern Hunan's Changning City, which is honored as "Home of Oil Camellia", on Dec. 18. At that time, a foundation stone laying ceremony for the China Oil Camellia Museum with an indoor exhibition, a processing park and an oil camellia base is to be held as well.
In addition, a series of activities will be held during the festival, including the opening ceremony, exhibition of oil camellia provided by several major producers around China, a summit forum on deep-processing of oil camellia, inauguration ceremonies for the customer experience base of Fulinmen tea oil and the Industry-University-Research Experiment Demonstration Base of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, a camellia forest tour, and trade negotiation and signing ceremony.
The uniquely-designed museum is made up of two parts. The indoor area is for exhibiting the varieties, processing industry, the industrialization and culture of oil camellia, while the outdoor part is a processing park boasting China's first cold pressing tea oil production line with annual output of 20,000 tons and a oil camellia base with the most comprehensive varieties of oil camellia in the world at present.
