The four-day Hunan Famous Special Products Exposition 2013 was launched at the Red Star International Exhibition Center in Changsha on the morning of September 29, 2013. More than 300 enterprises participated in the event, covering alcohol, green food, non-staple food, handicrafts, tea, drinks, etc. Tang Zhixiang, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
The exposition is hosted by the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province and Changsha Municipal People's Government, and offers a feast of Hunan famous special products to visitors. The event consists of eight major activities: "Hunan products going outside" greatly promoted by government and industry; free participation of the most competitive Hunan products in the national exhibition tour organized by the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province; series activities of creating the value of Hunan products; series activities of reviving Hunan wine; the financial party of "the night of Hunan products" to showcase the charming of Hunan; fostering the large local consumer market of Hunan; the golden brand of "Hunan-made" jointly built by Hunan famous products; and building a national wide circulation platform for Hunan products going outside.
The Hunan Famous Special Products Exposition 2013 kicks off in the Red Star International Exhibition Center in Changsha.
