Hunan Changsha South Bus Station to be Upgraded

Rendering of Plan A

Changsha South Bus Station, the largest in the city, is scheduled to be upgraded to Changsha South Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub on its original site. The upgrade is estimated to be completed in four years. The planned coverage area is ten times larger than that of the current one. After it is completed, passengers will be able to easily transfer to the CZT (Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan) inter-city railway and Metro Line 9. During the construction period, the current station will operate normally.

The new hub will integrate six means of transportation, namely, highway passenger vehicles, the inter-city railway, the subway, city buses, taxis and private vehicles. With the new station at the center and supplemented by commerce, it is scaled to become a commercial, residential, business, cultural, and entertainment urban complex.

The South Bus Station CZT inter-city railway station will be located on the basement second floor of the main station building. One of its five entry/exit points will lead to the underground parking lot.
