On September 23, Yanghu Wetland Park in Changsha was approved as a 4A national scenic spot after a preliminary assessment by Hunan Tourism Bureau and a formal approval by China National Tourism Administration.
Covering an area of 4.85 square kilometers in southwest Changsha, Yanghu Wetland Park is the largest urban wetland in south central China. It utilizes a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan, 800 million of which is construction investment. Since its opening, the scenic area has received over one million tourists, and hosted ten-odd large events, including Yanghu Wetland Flower Exhibition and YangHu Wetland Protection Concert.
