Changsha Entry-Exit Tourist Rush Grows 40.5%

According to the Changsha Border Defense Inspection Station on October 7, it handled more than 24 thousand entry-exit tourists (a 40.5 percent increase over last year) and 149 flights during the National Day holiday. 

Owing to the implementation of the new Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China since October 1, which may lead to higher tourist cost in the short term, Hunan citizens chose to travel abroad one after another during the National Day holiday, resulting in a new climax of outbound travel, introduced an officer from the station. 5,000-odd Hunan citizens traveled abroad, 2,235 of whom went to Thailand, a remarkable growth of 213 percent compared with the same period last year.
