Organized by the Changsha Municipal People's Government and sponsored by the Changsha Municipal Tourism Bureau, the 5th Changsha Eco-Cultural Tourism Festival unveiled the curtain at Qianlonghu Ecological Holiday Villa on May 28.
May 28 is designated as "Changsha Rural Tourism Day" henceforth. Travelling and entertaining in cities while eating and leisuring in the countryside, the urban residents could feast themselves with equally good services at rural happy farmhouses and get closer with nature.
This is also the first rural travel day nationwide.
Data from the travel bureau showed that the tourists received in Changsha rural travel market last year amounted to 21.985 million, making an income of 3.58 billion yuan. The rural travel booms at festivals and holidays with the tourist reception at all farmhouses seeing a new high.
