During the summer vacation, Wulingyuan Scenic Area, one of the World Natural Heritage Sites has been in full bloom. In two months’ span of July and August, Wulingyuan received around 5 million tourists, total travel sales reaching over 2 billion yuan. According to statistics, since July 6th the daily number of visitors has maintained approximately 60 thousand, among which university and high school students account 40%. To accommodate this group of tourists, quite a number of travel agencies launched new products such as Summer Camp and Tour of Science and Culture, which soon has become the favorites of students.
Moreover, overseas tourists from other parts of the globe likeKorea,Russia,UK, US etc. keep showing their passion towards Zhangjiajie. August witnessed the peak of 55 thousand overseas tourists, up 37% year on year.
