World's Largest Chinese Red Porcelain Made in Changsha

The world's largest Chinese red porcelain was created at high temperature by Yin Yanzheng in Changsha on July 1, 2011.

It has been seen in the workshop of Changsha Great Red Porcelain Development Limited Liability Company that the body of the red porcelain is three meters high and it weighs about 400kg. The decoration of two dragons playing with a pearl and propitious cloud engraved in the red body shines with majesty. Tapping on the body, a sonorous and powerful sound rings.

The high-temperature technique was mainly used in making small and medium-sized Chinese red porcelain. It is rather difficult to fire such over-two-meter-high works.

This year, Changsha Science and Technology Bureau has taken developing such works as its major technological project so as to make breakthroughs in this field and keep a leading role in the world.
