"World Walking Day" Debuts in Hunan Changsha

"Infinitus World Walking Day 2012", organized by the All-China Sports Federation (ACSF), with Infinitus (China) Co., Ltd. as the exclusive partner, took place in Changsha for the first time on September 15, attracting the participation of over ten thousand fitness lovers.

Over the bang of the starting gun by Li Gui, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Sports, the reveling phalanxes started their five-kilometer-long journey at around 9 a.m. from Meixi Lake at the foot of Yuelu Mountain. Both gray-haired people and youthful college students are seen among the walking crowd, exercising with pleasure on the prescribed route.

"World Walking Day" is a global event initiated in 1992. In recent 20 years, this event has been organized in over 70 countries, involving several million participants every year.

"Infinitus World Walking Day", a grand event that encourages scientific exercise, health and care, has been carried out in China for three consecutive years. This year's event will be carried out in 20 cities around the country, and Changsha is the 14th stop. Some 200 thousand people are expected to join in this 9-month event, with a total journey of over 1.2 million kilometers.
