On October, 27, the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Office of the Leading Group of Hunan Provincial Cultural Reform and Development and Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau jointly held a meeting in Zhangjiajie, aiming to develop and promote the western Hunan’s cultural travel industry and integrate the development of culture and travel. More than 70 representatives from various travel enterprises attended the meeting. Director of the Hunan Publicity Department, Xu Yousheng also delivered a speech at the meeting.
Western Hunan has abundant fairy mountains, rustic folkways, unique culture and resources. Its travel reserves, including more than 70 national and world-level travel resources and 49 national intangible cultural heritages, account for 41% of the province’s total. Tapping on this travel structure, it can enrich the contents of cultural travel, upgrade travel quality and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the industry.
At present, as the three-dimensional transport network in western Hunan has been formed, ecological travel led by the picturesque Zhangjiajie, cultural and ecological travel headed by the charming Fenghuang and exploration of ancient cities, towns and villages led by Hongjiang are undergoing rapid development.
