Travel Zone to Be Developed in Middle Reaches of Yangtze River

The travel departments from Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces signed an agreement on the travel cooperation in the city cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to develop a large regional travel market in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

Located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi boast rich travel resources, especially the unique red travel resources. The three provinces are well-known for Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower, and Pavilion of Prince Teng respectively. Dongting Lake in Hunan and Poyang Lake in Jiangxi, China's freshwater lakes, are connected by the Yangtze River.

The three provinces will boost travel cooperation in six sectors: to jointly work out the development plan on travel in the city cluster; to integrate travel resources and inter-regional travel products; to jointly develop domestic and overseas travel market; to promote the restructuring and expansion of travel enterprises so as to enlarge the travel market; to establish a unified and orderly travel market; to create inbound and outbound travel channels, especially the tourist port cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
