Fenghuang's Nanhuashan Upgraded as 4A National Scenic Spot

As released by the National Scenic Spots Grade Evaluation Committee recently, the Nanhuashan Culture-themed Spot has been approved as the third 4A National Scenic Spots in Fenghuang (Phoenix) County after the Qianzhou Ancient Town in Jishou and Qiliangdong Scenic Spot.

Fenghuang has attached great importance to establishing and promoting travel brand of "Mysterious Xiangxi and International Fenghuang". By far three 4A National Scenic Spots, one 3A National Scenic Spot, one National Famous Historic and Cultural City, one National Forest Park and one National Geological Park have been successfully acclaimed. The scenic spots there received 6 million tourists in 2011, creating a revenue of 4.431 billion yuan, rising by 15.4% and 47.01% respectively over the same period of the previous year.
