The Third China Venture Capital Forum Held in Changsha

The Third China Venture Capital Forum, organized by the Financial Affairs Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government and Securities Times and undertaken by the Hunan High-Tech Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (HTVC), was held in Changsha. Representatives from domestic renowned venture capital organizations aired views on low carbon economy, urbanization, the changes in technology, media, and telecom, etc.

According to the speech delivered by Vice Governor of Hunan Province Sheng Maolin at the forum, more than 30 Hunan-based enterprises had realized private equity financing of 1.5 billion yuan by the end of this August. There are now over 300 venture capital enterprises in Hunan, with the registered capital exceeding 50 billion yuan.

Since this year, Hunan has taken various measures to vigorously develop venture capital. A series of major project matchmaking events have been carried out, including the Training on the Overseas Listing of Hunan Enterprises in 2013 and the 2013 Forum on the Investment of Hunan Potential Enterprises for Going Listed.

At the awarding ceremony held on the same day, President of the HTVC Huang Ming was crowned as China's Venture Capital Figure, and the HTVC was honored as the Most Competitive Venture Capital Institution.

The Third China Venture Capital Forum is hosted in Changsha.
