On April 28th, the award ceremony of the first stage for the first national television essay contest–“mountains, pretty as a picture; my Zhangjiajie” is held under the great influence of home and abroad. Many sectors, like Propaganda department of Zhangjiajie, the city’s writers association attend the ceremony.
This event, initiated in June 2010, has received considerable supports from many departments in Zhangjiajie and writers and authors from home. The event has accepted about 300 essays and in order to promote its influence, it invites writers enjoying their popularity in home and abroad to this activity.
After experts’ careful evaluation, the final result is released: one first prize, three second prizes, six third prizes and ten excellent prizes. On the ceremony, leaders present award certificates and rewards to these prize winners and express hearty thanks for their supports to promote Zhangjiajie.
It is reported that the organizing committee plans to invite famous televisions from the whole country to shoot TV prose themed with Zhangjiajie’s beautiful scenery and set up rewards in terms of screen play, photography and broadcast. This will build a platform for national competitions and deeply engrave Zhangjiajie’s image on the people’s hearts.
