St. Petersburg Information and Consulting Center to Be Settled Down

The Russian St. Petersburg Liaison Committee on May 30 announced that its Chairman Yevgeny Dmitrievich officially signed a letter regarding the establishment of its Information and Consulting Center in Changsha. It says the Russian St. Petersburg Municipal Government Information and Consulting Center in Changsha will be settled at Changsha National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in the second half of this year.

The center started preparations in last October, during which a series of exchange activities was held. This March the Russian St. Petersburg Liaison Committee delegation visited Changsha to investigate the location for the center. After establishment, the center will have three divisions, two sections, and one office: the divisions of economy, trade, and investment; culture, travel, and education; and general affairs; the sections of liaison and organization; and the office.

The center is a foreign resident agency of St. Petersburg City, under the jurisdiction of the St. Petersburg Liaison Committee. It aims to introduce the City to China, so as to promote Sino-Russian pragmatic cooperation in economic and trade, science and technology, society, and civilization.
