This year's Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Sept.12. On that night, a splendid Mid-Autumn Festival evening gala was held in Xibu Street, Wulingyuan, which was part of 2011 Zhangjiajie International Country Music Week.
32 overseas music ensembles, which included Austrian Alps Orchestra , Russia Folk Song Group “Soroka”(magpie), Incubeko ye Afrika Band, South Africa and "Bruce Guynn "& the Heavy Rain Band, took part in the evening gala. In addition, 8 Chinese national bands played Chinese traditional musical instruments and performed singing and dancing. Tens of thousands of tourists and local people flooded into Xibu Street to enjoy beautiful and unique country music.
As the full moon rised in the sky, audience could watch wonderful performance under the moonlight. The night was so beautiful and romantic. The evening gala was a fantastic platform for artists and audience to interact with each other. Different national music and cultures were integrated here. Xibu Street was full of happiness.
