Singapore Entrepreneurs Seek Exchange and Cooperation in Hunan

From December 12 to 13, CHNG Ken-Wei, center director (China) of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), and Yeung Kwok Keung, director of Infocomm Singapore Center (ISC), paid a visit to Hunan with other enterprise operators from ten corporations likeSoftfoundry International Pte Ltd. They conducted field investigation on smart city construction in Changsha and Zhuzhou and sought for exchange and cooperation opportunities with localgovernments and relative enterprises.

Up to 2012, 189 corporations from Singapore have been approved to operate and invest in Hunan, accounting for 1.47% of the total number. The paid-in foreign capital reached 743 million US dollars, taking up 1.64% of the total in Hunan.

Authorities from the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province said that the visit was dedicated to enrichingSingapore enterprises' understanding about Hunan's planning and constructing of smart city, thus enhancing cooperation and exchange in smart city construction between both sides.

Smart City Construction Forum between Changsha and Singapore is held in Changsha.
