During the Spring Festival Holiday, Shaoshan received 518,800 tourists from home and abroad, creating tickets receipts of 703,000 yuan. On the fourth day of the first month according to the Chinese lunar calendar (Jan.26), the number of tourists reached 132,200, a year-on-year growth of 17%.
To achieve the goal of "health, safety, orderliness and quality" in the week-long holiday, the CPC Shaoshan Committee and government made full preparations. They set up direction signs at key road sections and junctions. Traffic police departments arranged more policemen to direct and divert traffic flows. The departments concerning transportation, health, pricing, industry & commerce, travel, comprehensive treatment and law enforcement joined forces during the holiday, carried out field service in scenic areas and received complaints, to create a favorable environment for tourists. So, during the Spring Festival Holiday, it was clean and beautiful in scenic spots, transportation was smooth, and no complaint was received.
