The 2013 China Domestic Tourism Trade Fair was held in Guiyang City from April 19 to 21. In order to promote the travel development of Hongjiang City and Qiyang Ancient Town, the Hongjiang Tourism Bureau organized the scenic spots of Qiyang Ancient Town to join the fair.
At the fair, visitors were attracted to Hunan's Huaihua booth by the roles of "Wang Changling" (698-756) who was a major Tang Dynasty poet and maid of honor wearing Tang-style costume, and Confucian scholars dressed in Qing Dynasty robe. Over 2,000 pieces of poster foldouts, scenery brochures, travel maps, scenic discs concerning Hongjiang City and Qianyang Ancient Town were snapped up. A feature film about Hongjiang travel played in the large LED display of Hunan booth appealed to many visitors.
The annual fair has been acclaimed as one of the most influential events in the circle of travel. Via this fair, Hongjiang travel was well promoted and the image of ancient Huaihua was also showcased.
