Overhaul of Part of Changsha-Zhangjiajie Expressway to Begin at the End of June

An overhaul of Yiyang-Changde section of Changsha-Zhangjiajie Expressway is scheduled to begin on June 26 till November 30. During the period, the section will be half closed. 

According to Song Zuke, deputy director of the Highway Management Bureau of Hunan Province, in order to ensure effectiveness and safety, the overhaul will be operated 24 hours a day, with half of the section closed.

“We will do our best to avoid affecting the normal traffic. When one half of the section is closed, the other half can still accommodate cars from both directions. Besides, drivers can take a detour by taking Yueyang-Changde section of Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway.” said Song.

The overhaul of the north section will last from June 27 to August 24, and the south from September 1 to November 30. Upon completion of the overhaul, the road will acquire such new technique features as evenness, comfort, low noise, good vision, high temperature resistance, and improvement of carrying capacity.
