New Rail Line Brings Convenience to Changsha-Beijing Travelers

China's longest high-speed railway, starting from Beijing and ending at Shenzhen, will open to traffic at the end of 2012, cutting the single-way time between the two cities by fifteen hours to around nine hours.

Once the railway is in operation, the travel time between Changsha and Beijing is expected to be just 6 hours, compared to 13 hours and 17 minutes by the fastest normal-speed train Z18.
