The National Water Skiing Championship 2013 that coincided with a motorboat exhibition match is taking place on the Lishui River in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. More than 120 athletes of 13 teams from Hong Kong, Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Hunan are competing in nine different items of the event.
Preliminary rounds in six events (slalom, jump, wakeboard, kneeboard, ski racing, and barefoot) are held on November 1. On November 2, the opening ceremony will be held, together with some individual finals and a wide variety of aqua shows, including trick water skiing and motorboat performance. Audiences can experience firsthand the thrilling water skiing and motorboat racing. November 3 features the championship finals, the motorboat racing finals, and the award ceremony.
Combining performance, art, excitement, and skills, the event is expected to bring unprecedented visual impact of water sports to audiences and visitors.
