Changsha’s Meixi Lake International New Town won the “Global Human Settlements Award on Planning and Design” 2016, according to a news release announced at a press conference held by Xiangjiang New Area on the afternoon of Sept. 13.
The “Global Human Settlements Award on Planning and Design” is the annual worldwide prize launched in 2005 by the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS). Known as “the Oscar in Human Settlements”, it is currently the most prestigious human settlements award in urban architecture and design in the world.
