Liuyang held a culture industry promotion fair themed ”Charming Liuyang" in Shanghai on October 29 to solicit investment for its 16 cultural projects. Investment agreements on four projects were concluded at the fair, including Liyang River Ecological Culture Entrepreneurial Town, and Night of Liuyang River Theatre.
Liuyang has more than 1,500 culture enterprises which created a total added value of 13.5 billion yuan in 2012. In recent years, Liuyang has accelerated construction of its culture industry park, relying on the established core cultural brands "Liuyang River" and " Liuyang Fireworks" . It has gradually become a new characteristic culture city in central China.
Cao Lijun, secretary of the Liuyang Municipal CPC Committee remarked that Liuyang has profound history and culture, unique ecological resources, convenient dimensional transport network and enormous potential for dynamic economic development. These advantageous conditions must play positive role in further promoting development and upgrading the city's culture industry and providing bright prospects to this industry.
