Hunan’s First Flower-themed Amusement Park to Open

Xiangtan will hold celebrations on this year’s “International Children’s Day” at a flower-themed amusement park on May 28, 2016, the very day when the park is open to the public for trial operation.

The festive celebrations were hosted by the organization committee of Xiangtan Panlong Grand Garden.

In the flower-themed amusement park, there are ten flower-themed gardens planted with various flowers such as over 100 cherry blossom trees, over 800 varieties of azaleas, about 15,000 roses, and over 600 kinds of Chinese roses as well as lotus and Chinese wisteria. It is said that the bonsai garden here rivals that of Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

Panlong Grand Garden, covering an area of 12,000 mu (800 hectares), is a national 4A-level scenic spot. The Garden invested by Panlong Investment Group with 2 billion yuan is expected to be built into a super-large flower theme park, which integrates famous flowers exhibition, sightseeing, recreational activities, and outward bound. It is only 15 to 30 minutes’ drive away from the downtown of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan.

The Children’s Day celebrations in the Garden will last till June 5.
