The press conference on Hunan’s First Digital Tourism Films Contest was held in Changsha on April 6. It is announced that from that day on to September 30, the organizing committee will collect works from all travel agencies, Film & TV companies, travel enthusiasts, amateur photographers and college students. The contest will demonstrate the natural beauty of Hunan through film scripts with complete stories, and make digital films for the public.
The contest is themed on “Let Films Present you How Beautiful Hunan is”. It will be carried out in seasons, three months a season. Two seasons will be launched this year. Ten awards including Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Directing, Best Photography, Best Actor and Actress in a Leading Role, Best Actor and Actress in a Supporting Role, Best Music and Best Scenic Spot will be conferred.
Hunan’ s first travel film The Tale of A Small Town set in Jinggang Ancient Town-a popular Chinese historical and cultural town has been completed and is expected to be at the cinema in late June.
