Hunan Travel Propelled by Its Splendid Landscape

On April 30, the picturesque Wulingyuan of Zhangjiajie County received a small group of tourists, as expected.

Various scenic spots in Hunan Province received numerous visitors during the May Day holiday. According to the statistics, Tianmen Mountain of Zhangjiajie alone received over 7,000 visitors in one day, most of whom were self-driving tourists.

Hunan’s splendid landscape as well as its profound historical and cultural resources not only provide foundations for Hunan’s rapid development in travel industry, but also promote the development of over 100 related industries. Hunan has maintained its swift development in travel industry since the beginning of 2012. From January to March, a total of 61.58 million tourists were received by Hunan, achieving general income in travel of 42.497 billion Yuan. It is estimated that the total income in travel in 2012 will exceed 200 billion Yuan.

At present, there are a total of 157 tourist spots in Hunan, including 6  of 5A grade attractions( Wulingyuan of Zhangjiajie, Hengshan Mountain, Shaoshan, Yueyang Tower-Junshan Island, Tianmen Mountain and Yuelu Mountain-Orange Isle).
