The "Colorful Hunan—2015 ‘Cultural Heritage Day’ & Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Activities", hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture, is scheduled to open on June 13 in Shaoshan.
The three-day event is themed "Incorporating intangible cultural heritage into modern life", with the China (Shaoshan) Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park as the main venue. The event includes three parts, namely, the launching ceremony for the event & the opening ceremony of the China (Shaoshan) Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park, the Outstanding Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Representatives Exhibition, and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Marketization Utilization Forum. Some of Hunan's intangible cultural heritage projects including traditional music, dance and opera will be performed on the site.
At present, the park has completed exhibition area construction for 14 cities and prefecture. It has come to the exhibition arrangement phase, and will be officially open on June 13.
