The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture cooperated with the China Cultural Center in Sydney this year by launching a series of Hunan culture exhibitions and performances there, which were favored by local people, said Li Hui, head of the department.
Colorful activities of “Hunan Culture Season” were staged in Sydney during the one-year cooperation, including 2015 New Year’s Concert by Hunan National Orchestra and New Year Parade, “Fantastic Hunan” Animation Exhibition, China-Australia Enterprises Promotion, “Amazing Hunan” Intangible Culture Heritage Exhibition, and Arts School Exchange. The activities showcased distinctive charm of Hunan culture, and were highly praised by Australian audience from all walks of life.
In the coming 2016, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture will continue exploring Hunan’s cultural resources, to promote cooperation and communication with the Chinese Cultural Center in Pakistan. Beyond that, Hunan Province Song and Dance Theater, Hunan Acrobatics Art Theater, Zhangjiajie Charming Xiangxi Song and Dance Troupe, and Huaihua Song and Dance Troupe will be sent to the U.S.A, South Africa, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Iraq and Vietnam, to join in local celebrations for the Chinese Spring Festival.
