According to the Guizhou provincial rail construction office, for the first half of 2014, Guizhou’s investment in railway construction grows quickly, with a total investment of 15.4 billion yuan ($ 2.49 billion), a year-on-year increase of 30.5 percent.
Guizhou steps into the era of high speed rails this year, as by the end of this June, 99.2 percent of the Guizhou-Changsha high speed rail’s Guizhou part is complete and the line is estimated to begin operate in May 2015. By then, it will only take two hours between Guiyang and Changsha.
