The Cultural Publicity Work Conference of the National Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (NFROC) & the Standing Council Meeting of the China Overseas Committee for International Culture Exchange was held in Changsha on the morning of April 26. Chairman of NFROC Lin Jun and Director of the United Front Work Department of Hunan Province Li Weiwei attended the meeting.
Mr. Lin urged that the NFROC should scientifically analyze the new situation and new tasks of cultural publicity work so as to make due contribution to realizing the goals set in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan". It should also promote solidarity among all Chinese people at home and abroad on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Communist Party of China and the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution, show the image and voice of China through the overseas Chinese people ,carry forward the activity of "Love China" and the dissemination of Chinese culture all over the world, and enhance the education of Chinese culture among overseas Chinese and promote the exchanges among overseas Chinese youths, thus to set a solid foundation for the undertakings of NFROC.
On behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the People's Congress of Hunan Province, the Hunan Provincial Government and the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, Li Weiwei conveyed congratulations on the conference, and extended heartfelt gratitude to NFROC for its supports to Hunan's economic development.
