China Eastern Hunan deal

China Eastern Airlines Group recently signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Hunan provincial government to jointly develop the province's aviation transport businesses.

According to the agreement, the Shanghai-based carrier will accelerate the development of aviation transport services in the cities of Changsha and Zhangjiajie. In the meantime, the carrier will boost its transport capacity input in the province, so as to expand the scale of its business and increase its market share there.

A temporary overnight base will also be established in the airport at Changsha.
China Eastern says it will increase the number domestic routes and domestic flights frequencies. It aims to launch Changsha to Shanghai air express flights as soon as possible.

The agreement also says that international flights will also be added in Changsha.
