A cherry blossom festival will run from April 3rd to 12th in west Hunan's Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town, during which time Songyun Mountain National Forest Park will open for free. The festival will feature special events like glorious cherry blossoms, sound of Songyun Mountain, praying at Songyun Mountain, cherry tree adoption, and finding the prettiest blossom, while highlighting cherry blossoms, ancient town and temples, and natural sceneries.
Songyun Mountain is hailed as the best in west Hunan on which stands Miaoyin (Beautiful Tone) Temple, Hua Yan (Avatamsaka) Chamber, Daxing Zen Temple, and Yaowang (King of Medicine) Temple.
