Recently, Director of the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Hunan Province Xiao Bailing met in Changsha with Australian Consul-General in Guangzhou Dominic Trindade.
Ms. Xiao welcomed Dominic Trindade and briefed the guest on Hunan’s actual situations. She stated that the bilateral relations between China and Australia have developed smoothly. Hunan and Australia has yielded pragmatic and efficient cooperation in terms of high-level exchange, economy and trade, culture and travel. She also hoped to deepen bilateral friendship and expand cooperation between the two parts through the visit.
Mr. Dominic Trindade remarked that he has had special interest in Hunan’s economic and social development since his appointment, and was pleased to hear that Hunan and Australia have deep connection in various fields. During his visit in Hunan, Dominic Trindade and his delegation held talks with the Development and Reform Commission of Hunan Province and the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, to understand the latest developments in economy and society of Hunan and the investment flows between Hunan and Australia.
