2015 China Hunan International Tourism Festival Kicks OffThemed “Splendid Hunan & Lovely Changde”, 2015 China Hunan International Tourism Festival kicked off on Liuye Lake of Changde in Hunan at 8:00 pm on Sept. 12.
The festival this year consists of opening ceremony, major events in Changde, and other theme activities in 14 cities and prefecture of Hunan. It serves as an important engine for the development of travel industry in Hunan.
Distinguished guests from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony, including national and provincial leaders such as Deputy Director of the National Tourism Administration Wang Xiaofeng, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress Chen Wenjun and Vice Governor of Hunan Province He Baoxiang, as well as over 200 travel businessmen and journalists from China and other eight countries like Britain, Italy, Russia and South Korea.
At the ceremony, a large-scale original live-action performance “A Dream to Taohuayuan (the Peach Blossom Land)” was staged on Liuye Lake. Later, a breathtaking music fireworks show lit up Changde, marking the official start of the colorful theme activities in the coming weeks.
