According to Hunan Highway Administration Bureau, 16 highways (totally 1320 kilometers) will be opened to traffic in Hunan province, by the end of this year. That means Hunan possesses the highest goal domestically, hitting the record another time.
From 2008,Hunan province has been concentrating on constructing 49 projects related to highways. By the end of 2010, ongoing building mileage achieves 4064 kilometers, ranking first inChina. And total mileage (including ongoing ones and finished ones) reached 6450 kilometers.Hunan province has managed to jump to the top three from the seventeenth in 2007 nationwide.
