On May 24th, Source from infrastructure project construction headquarters of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan core scenic spot says Yangjiajie passenger ropeway project lay in the northwestern part of Wulingyuan core scenic spot has achieved great progress with 68% investment completed.
According to the ropeway construction department, two floors of the main project of below machine rooms have been completed and are to be totally finished at the end of June. The upper machine rooms (two floors) are under construction and are to be finished at the end of July.
The horizontal running distance of Yangjiajie ropeway is 1,876 meters, and the height difference is 517 meters. The one-way capacity of the ropeway is 2,000 people/hour with a maximum operating speed of 6m/s. The one-way operation time is 5.2minutes. It is the most advanced passenger ropeway with a high degree of automation, large volume, comfortable seats and reliable safety.
Yangjiajie ropeway will open up the western fast track in and out the core scenic spots and lessen the distance between Yangjiajie and other core scenic spots, which are favorable to rationalize tourists streams into Yangjiajie scenic area. At the same time, it plays an important role in perfecting transportation system of the scenic spot, protecting natural environment and resources and boosting the city’s travel.
