On April 27th, Zhangjiajie canoe slalom is officially opened towards tourists. Three Cantonese become the first tourists to experience this drifting activity. On the upcoming of May Day ( from April 29th to May 1), Zhangjiajie canoe slalom has a discount on tickets for drifters with 94RMB per person, reduced from the former price of 118RMB per person.
Zhangjiajie canoe slalom is the only drifting project in Wulinyuan scenic spot. Constructed in 2000, and with a length of 1,960 meters, it costs 1.5 hours to complete this journey. Once it was appointed as the training base for the 2008 Olympic Games. During ten years of operation, many domestic and international competitions have been held in there like “the Tenth National Games”, and it has successfully admitted over 100,000 drifters from abroad.
