In order to cherish the memory left by predecessor’s great achievements and promote The Long March spirit,thousands of students and residents gathered together to unveil “The Red Army Ferry Monument”in Huping Town,Yongding District,Zhangjiajie City.92 year-old veteran red army Zhang Haiqing and offspring of the red army Hou Zongyuan emotionally narrated some unforgettable scenes, recalling fearless spirit shared by the red army at that time.
The establishment of “The Red Army Ferry Monument” is also in honor of the red army’s (2nd army group and 6th army group) successfully fighting their way across the Li River, always remembering the red army’s brilliant achievements and encouraging later generations all the time.
