Zhangjiajie Office of the Chinese Cross-strait Exchange Association, the first office of the association in Hunan, was set up on April 11. Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee Fan Yuntian, KMT Vice Chairman Chiang Hsiao-yen, and Director of the Office Chan Ching-chih attended the nameplate-unveiling ceremony.
According to Chen Shenwei, director of the Chinese Cross-strait Exchange Association, the great prospect of travel cooperation between the two places attracted them to establish an office in Zhangjiajie.
Fan Yuntian said with increasing collaboration opportunities and more convenient and fast investment information exchange, travel will see new development opportunities. Besides, Zhangjiajie will spare no efforts to promote a multifaceted, multi-tiered and diversified cooperation between the two sides.
Chen Shenwei said that the establishment of the office can further boost the cultural travel between Hunan and Taiwan. In addition to travel, attention will also be paid to such fields as agriculture and the inheritance and development of minority culture.
