2011 National Tourism Bureau Notice No. 15, approved Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon as a national 4A level scenic tourist attractions.
Related News:April 2011, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon was passed initial inspection of Zhangjiajie Municipal Tourism Bureau, and then in September, was passed re-inspection of Hunan Tourism Bureau.
Zhangjiajie grand canyon is new discovery outside Zhangjiajie National Park,Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon situated in Sanguansi, cili county Zhangjiajie city, 10 km east to Wulingyuan world natural heritage site, which is a new discovery of scenic site. When driving close to the entrance a expanse of bamboo disappear, you find a deeply lower Valley with cutting-edge cliffs.a hill path cutting through narrow crevice leads vertically to the bottom of the valley, the area is about 60 square km.
It is an investment in development and construction of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Spot Management Limited ,September 2005,Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon began building.and opened in October 2009, an investment of RMB 150 million yuan, after two years of creating, various services have been improved, more and more tourists visit the Grand Canyon.
