Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon to Build World's Longest Glass Path

The construction of the glass path, cable car, bungee jumping and other supporting facilities will be started in the latter half of the year at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, which is expected to be open to the public at the end of 2013. The glass path, projected to be the longest in the world, will fill in the gap of bungee jump experiencing in Zhangjiajie.

World's famous designer Haim Dotan, who designed the Israel Pavillion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, will be the chief designer of the glass path. It will be built between the peaks on both sides of the grand canyon. According to the plan, the whole path completely built of transparent glass will be 330 meters in length and 3.2 meters in width and it is going to be 265 meters away from the bottom of the grand canyon. In the middle of the path, the world's highest bungee can be experienced.

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Spot is famous for its grand canyon and there will be various types of landscapes ranking highly and distributing densely, which is going to change its current single sight-seeing tour to a multi-functional tour for resort, leisure, entertainment, exploration, conference and business.
