On April 25, Yuan Jianyao, assistant governor of Hunan Province presided over a special meeting on conscientiously studying and implementing the Circular on Further Intensifying Management of Government Websites issued by the General Office of the State's Council.
Mr. Yuan noted that the circular should be carried out with all-out efforts. Relevant departments should further deepen their awareness of improving government websites. In recent years, under the correct leadership of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People's Government, remarkable progress has been achieved in the management of Hunan's government websites. The websites have served as vital platforms and windows for the public to get information on government affairs and played an important role in enhancing communications with the public through online services.
However, there are still some outstanding problems worth our due attention. In response to the circular, departments at different levels must take effective measures to step up the management of the government websites with a sense of urgency and responsibility. The focus of website management will be further clarified with practical efforts to solve the existing prominent problems.
