Traveling Salesmen Worldwide Visit Western Hunan

A delegation consisting of 370 traveling salesmen from 22 countries made a seven-day inspection tour to the Red Carbonate-Rock Stone Forest National Geopark in Western Hunan starting from March 14, 2016.

They came here to explore classic travel routes in Western area which involve featured scenic spots in Zhangjiajie, Red Carbonate-Rock Stone Forest National Geopark, Furong Town and Fenghuang Ancient Town. The organizer expected that the inspection would help develop more new travel products suitable for inbound travel.

The Red Carbonate-Rock Stone, also known as Danxia landform, is the world’s only of its kind formed in the Cambrian period.

On that day, the Geopark held a warm reception and staged authentic folk song of Tujia ethnic group for the delegation who were from countries including the USA, Canada, Australia, France, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Iran, India, United Arab Emirates, Moldova, Egypt, Israel, Britain, Sweden, Vietnam, Nepal and Netherlands.

This year the Geopark will focus on promoting Tujia folk song through integrating folk culture performances and folk dances of Eba and Maogusi.
